This Sunday, February 28th, will be my first official day as Pastor of David Baptist Church. Are you excited? I am!
Just so you know, my preaching goal throughout my entire first year at DBC is to re-introduce, and in many cases introduce, Jesus to people. For many Christians who have known Jesus for a long time, or have been involved in church life for many years, it can become quite easy to "get over" Jesus. We tend to forget about everything that He has done for us in our life - especially when things are running smooth. That's why I'm excited to be preaching through the Gospel of Matthew starting this Sunday.
The first series is titled King of Kings. We'll spend eight weeks looking at the early life and ministry of Jesus Christ - where he came from, who he was, why he was/is such a big deal, how his early ministry started out and what we can learn from Him in the process. Invite a friend and be ready to learn about why Jesus is the only King that you should need or want for your life.

I am excited about this series of sermons! I hope that someone records the service Sunday as most of the women will not be present.
